Title: Robin Robin Tale of Two
Cities
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. There was a pair of
twins, leonard and lenora who lives in a town named Plesantville. They
led a prisitine life; pampered, tended to and never needing, wanting or
yearning for anything.
On the other side of town in Pesantville lived another set of twins, rex
and reba. They led hard lives and had to work for everything. Each
worked the streets panhandling and were made to accept spankings,
servitude and humiliation for simple meals of soup and stale bread.
One day both sets of twins were walking, something they do each day
without event. A magical, mystical, yet eerie fog rolled in. squirlybird
witnessed it all and knew of future events. They felt a weird sensation,
as if time stood still. Through the thinning fog all four caught their
first glimpse of each other, stared in disbelief.
As if speaking in one voice, leonard and lenora said with amazement,
"rex and reba are us!" All four sat down on nearby rocks and went on to
speak of their lives. Leonard said, "How absurd, do you expect us to
believe you ?" rex replied, "I challenge you and your sister to trade
with me and reba!"
At that very moment, squirlybird made her presence known (Susan is
squirlybird) and tapped all four kids on their shoulders with my magical
feathers. Leonard and lenora were now in Pesantville; locals hissed,
jeered and were made to feel very unwelcome. The other twins, rex and
reba were in Plesantville and treated well, greeted and loved by all.
The magical, mystical fog lifted, each set of twins stood dazzled and
confused not knowing what the future held. squirlybird made herself
invisible, watched the kids bewilderment.
